Glastonbury Grow Room 009 The Kaizens- The King Arthur- Doors 8pm
Hailing from South Devon, the Kaizens are a 4 piece high energy Indie Rock Band. Think Razorlight with the raw passion of the Sex Pistols and the energy of the Foo Fighters.
The sound of The Kaizens is instantly recognisable and has already seen them burst out of their hometown Torbay, with their sizeable ambition lining up the rest of the world in their sights.
Following the release of their four-track self-titled EP, The Kaizens original music received numerous air plays from radio stations all across the UK. They were also invited to perform a live session for BBC Introducing.
2017 brought them a very busy year playing gigs and festivals and supporting touring bands all around the UK.
They have played with / supported such bands as The Darkness, Top loader and X factor star, Luke friend.
The future is looking big for the band as they are adding to their long list of future gigs, events and festivals all around the country.

Ruth Royall Quartet- Bocabar/Red Brick
Hailing from Southwest of England Ruth grew up in a creative
environment and this has embedded a deep musicality in her; she was writing music before she knew how, and the music that she was creating came from her core.
After years of experimenting with her sound and performing as a jazz singer on the UK and Berlin circuits, Ruth's sound materialised. Layered with electronic influences Ruth had picked up from her Bristol heritage,
her sound is a hybrid of old and new.
It holds traces of her influences encompassing the early soul sounds of Billie Holiday and Etta, as well as more recent obsessions like Submotion Orchestra, Jamie Woon, and Nikka Costa.

Martin Harley & Daniel Kimbro - Strode Theatre, Street
On the heels of the largely sold out 'Static in the Wires' tour, this dynamic transatlantic duo take to the road again for their 'Feet don't fail me' tour. Always engaging and far from predictable these 'Two musicians at the top of their game' (Music Riot) seek to push the boundaries of blues, folk and American roots music. Original compositions on Slide guitar, double bass, harmony vocals and good humoured banter are cornerstones of their live shows. Between them they are very much on the world stage and have performed at Glastonbury, The Royal Albert hall, the Ryman Auditorium, Grand Ole Opry, Bonnaroo, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, MerleFest, Bottle Rock,The Edmonton Folk Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest, The Blue Note Tokyo, Cognac Blues festival, Cayamo and many more. Most recently Daniel toured the US with the Transatlantic Sessions.

The two musicians met through a mutual friend Sam Lewis at Hippie Jack's music festival in Crawford Tennessee. After a brief backstage rehearsal, they took to the stage for an hour of largely improvised music. A few weeks later they were cutting a record at Zac Brown’s iconic Southern Ground. Martin plays a 100 year Weissenborn (Hawaiian acoustic lap guitar), Daniel plucks beats, scratches and bows his upright bass to create and unexpected array of sounds.
